Nuwa at EuroXR 2025

Nuwa plans to attend EuroXR 2025 in Winterthur to engage with the European XR research community, explore collaboration opportunities, and connect with researchers and practitioners.

Event date:
Location: Winterthur, Switzerland

Why Nuwa is attending

EuroXR is the premier European research conference for extended reality technologies. We aim to engage with the academic and research community, share VAARHeT project validation findings demonstrating voice-activated XR applications for cultural heritage visitor engagement, and explore collaboration opportunities with research institutions investigating immersive technologies for heritage preservation and education. The conference provides access to researchers working on XR interaction methodologies, heritage digitisation standards, and accessible cultural experiences, informing Culturama Platform development priorities whilst providing insight into emerging research directions in European extended reality community. We have case study materials available for discussion covering voice-driven AR welcome avatar, VR archaeological building reconstruction, and AR live translation applications validated with 39 museum visitors at Āraiši Ezerpils Archaeological Park in Latvia.

We plan to identify potential research collaboration pathways, contribute to discussions on voice interaction design patterns and heritage XR deployment standards, and connect with institutions exploring similar applications of immersive technology for cultural heritage contexts. These conversations help inform our development priorities whilst sharing evidence-based insights from operational museum validation.

Who we want to meet

We are interested in connecting with XR researchers and academics from European institutions investigating heritage XR applications, cultural heritage digitisation practitioners evaluating voice interaction technologies, practitioners deploying extended reality in museum and archaeological contexts, EU project coordinators seeking consortium partners for heritage technology initiatives, and research centres exploring human factors in immersive environments particularly voice user interface design. Heritage technology specialists evaluating AI dialogue quality standards, multilingual accessibility requirements, and institutional deployment frameworks will find VAARHeT validation evidence relevant for evidence-based technology adoption decisions.

What we will be exploring

Our focus at EuroXR 2025 includes sharing VAARHeT research outcomes demonstrating voice-activated heritage XR deployment experiences, research collaboration opportunities with European institutions investigating cultural heritage immersive applications, advances in voice interaction design for XR contexts including accuracy thresholds and minority language support requirements, human factors research relevant to heritage visitor populations and museum professional workflows, and standards and interoperability for cultural XR applications supporting practical institutional deployment including desktop-VR multi-modal access patterns that validation evidence demonstrated as essential for heritage sector accessibility.
